Basket Weave Quilt

For such a long time I wanted to make a pink and brown quilt. I misplaced my pattern, but I think the pattern is called the Basket Weave Quilt.

I added this wide border to make a waved edge, but after seeing the quilting I changed my mind. I really like how the quilting is showing in the border and I think I am going to leave the border just as it is.

I used a panto from Urban Elementz and it is called Hyacinth.

I quilted this black and white quilt for Paula. Her quilt is over 100" wide and long...just a beautiful quilt. She made the quilt for her daughter.

T-shirt Quilts

T-shirt quilts are so popular and I quilt a lot of t-shirt quilts for other quilters. This first t-shirt quilt was pieced by Sherri for her daughter. As her daughter got older, the t-shirt blocks grew bigger. All the small blocks are in the first row and the blocks are bigger towards the last rows.

We both decided on the panto Curlz in a brownish pink colored thread for her daughter's t-shirt quilt.

Sherri made the next t-shirt quilt for one of her sons.

This t-shirt quilt got a green batik border.

I have quilted another t-shirt quilt with a blue batik border and backing for her other son, but lost the pictures. She added these cute stuffed animals on the children's quilts.

Now this t-shirt quilt was pieced by Margie for one of her church friends. She used her friend's church t-shirts and turned it into a beautiful quilt top with a white border.

Deb's Swirls panto is the panto I used most of the time on t-shirt quilts. This panto always quilts out so beautifully on the t-shirt sticky, printed pictures.

Scrappy Quilts in traditional colors

Do you have scraps in a basket? I am always looking for ideas to use up my stash of scraps.

I love scrappy quilts...to make for myself and to quilt for customers. This beautiful scrap quilt was pieced by Sally. We decided to go with the panto called Peacock Palm in a taupe color thread.

The next scrappy quilt was pieced by Julie. The Curly Q panto in a tan color thread is a good option for scrappy quilts.

I love all these 9 patch blocks...they are perfect for all those scraps in a basket.

Goodies in the mail

I got 2 packages in the mail. The first package was from Elaine. These beautiful fabric are an extra bonus from Elaine and I had no idea it was coming my way. I also got this pink quilt top from her. Thank you so much!

The same day I got these charm squares from Michelle in the mail. The fabrics goes perfectly with the fabrics I got from Elaine. Thank you so much, Michelle!

I already started to make a few 4 patch blocks from the charm squares...will post pictures the next time. I feel so spoiled with all the lovely goodies I got in the mail.

This is the second Hunter Star quilt I quilted with the panto Curlz. This one was pieced by Pat.
