String and Rail Fence quilts

How is your week going? I had lots of fun with my strings again. I quilted my blue, yellow and green string quilt. I am so happy with how it turned out. Quilting is a great stress reliever for me
 Blue and yellow scrappy backing
I quilted my little Rail Fence quilt too. It is such a bright and happy quilt.
I really like the blue borders. Blue is my favorite color. I am going to give this quilt to daughter number two and orange is her favorite color.
 Orange dot backing
I pulled out this jelly roll UFO. The blocks were done, so I just had to sew the blocks together.
This is all for today and happy quilting,
Millie

Strings, Strip and Tumbler quilts

I love my strings and it gives me such pleasure to finish a String quilt. I am so pleased at how pretty this String quilt washed and crinkled up. I have a bin with leftover batting pieces and use that in my String quilts.
I like to show a few tops I quilted. This is Pat's beautiful blue and yellow String quilt.
Pieced backing
This Strip pattern is very popular. This is also Pat's quilt.
Pieced border from leftover batik strips.
Sally's batik Strip quilt.
A bird quilt from a different Sally. She made excellent use of a bird panel.
Sally's second bird quilt.
Sally's cheerful Boho quilt.
Carolyn's blue and white quilt. She used her husband's old plaid and striped shirts in the quilt.
I finished the piecing on one of my old Rail Fence UFO's.
I hate sewing borders, but I got this one done.
I worked on another UFO.
This was a kit and I knew I will never get to it.I took my Go Cutter Tumbler die and made a Tumbler quilt. The sewing went fast and I am done with the quilting.
Busy sewing on the binding from the leftover backing fabric.
I am working on a giveaway and the clue is....Go Cutter die. More details coming soon.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Smiles,
Millie
