Basket Quilt is done!

My Basket Weave quilt is finally done!!!! I have always wanted to make a pink and brown quilt and now I have one and it is done.

Pink scrappy backing.

I have been very busy working on t-shirt quilts and quilting customer quilts. I enjoyed working on every quilt.
Carolyn made this blue and white monogram quilt for her son-in-law.

"Bubbles" has become one of my favorite pantos and I think it looks so good on this quilt.

Blue and white backing.

Glenda's Thimbleberrie quilt got quilted with the "CurleyQ" panto.

Close up of the house block and some other blocks.

Gold/tan backing.

Linda's star quilt was quilted with "Curley Q" too. She made the quilt for her daughter's birthday.

Flowery backing.

This is a donation quilt pieced by Linda and quilted by me with butterflies.

Linda will bind the butterfly quilt.

Shirley's heart quilt was quilted with hearts.

Pink backing.

Quilts from 2.5" strips

Marjie asked me to quilt 5 quilts for her which she all made from 2.5" strips. These quilts are adorable!

The first 3 quilts are all Chinese Coin quilts with white sashings and borders.

Quilted with the panto Hearts a Flutter. The butterfly and heart backing goes perfectly with all the spring 2.5" strips.

The next teal Chinese Coin quilt is quilted with the panto Pretty Posies.

Teal flower backing.

The last Chinese Coin quilt was made from spring strips and a a few Breast Cancer fabrics. She made the quilt for a friend who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

Cancer Ribbon panto.

A Bright Rail Fence quilt...this is also a good idea to use your 2.5" strips.

Quilted with the Sunny Daze panto.

The pink border frames the quilt nicely.

Pink and brown backing.

Another quilt from 2.5" strips.

I also got the quilting done on Jenny's t-shirt quilt. I am so pleased at how the quilt turned out.

Close up of some of the t-shirt blocks and Bubbles panto.

Zlaty was so kind to think of me and gave me the Beautiful Blogger Award. Thank you so much! If you do have time, please visit her at Zlaty Sews.

I absolutely enjoy making quilts. I love my stash and String Quilts are my favorite!

If you like to pass this award on, please feel free to do so!

Happy Quilting!

T-shirt Quilts

I love the spring season...to hear the birds singing and to see the trees with the new green leaves.

I have been working on t-shirt quilts now for a few weeks. The first one I quilted was for Betsy which she made for her mother.

I bet you can guess which pattern I used...Deb's Swirls again! It is such a pretty panto on busy quilts and it is not distracting when you quilt over a picture.

I finished the binding on Betsy's quilt while I was watching tv. Bingding and watching tv go so well together and that's why it's something I usually always do. Plus, it keeps me from reaching for a bag of chips!

This Baylor t-shirt quilt was made by Kathy for her son-in-law. Can you believe this is only the second quilt she ever pieced?

The quilt is in the Baylor colors gold sashings and the green border.

A plain stipple is one of my other favorite patterns to quilt a t-shirt quilt with.

Here is Kathy with her daughter. This was the first quilt Kathy made. You can tell Kathy and her daughter are extremely happy with the quilt.

I am working on 3 college t-shirt quilts. The first one I am working on is the UT (University of Texas) longhorn colors...burnt orange and white.

A white and bigger black border will finish the t-shirt quilt.

Happy Quilting!
