T-shirt quilts

I always have a lot of fun making t-shirt quilts. T-shirt quilts are very popular, especially this time of the year when students are going to college. Each t-shirt quilt has its own personality.
This is a t-shirt quilt I made for Nijia.
We decided on a small teal border followed by a black and teal patchwork print for the outside border, binding and backing. I used a heart and swirl quilting pattern in teal colored thread.
Rhonda's t-shirt quilt was quilted with swirls and it is my favorite pattern for t-shirt quilts.
Sally's t-shirt quilt was quilted with the same swirl pattern called "Deb's Swirls".
Pieced backing.
This is a very heavy t-shirt quilt which I quilted with a stipple.
Grey border with music  print for the outside border.
This is why the quilt is very heavy and so durable, the backing is a heavy weight denim fabric.
Hope you all will have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by,
Millie

Finished Circle Quilt and more quilting and organizing

I've been busy, done a lot of quilting and made a huge mess in my quilting room. I have a finished quilt. The Circle quilt is all done,  washed and crinkled up.
 Scrappy backing.
I  have been quilting  beautiful quilt tops and would like to share them. Here's Barbara's Music quilt.
Border with music instruments.
 Music note backing.
I've quilted two T-shirt quilts. This is Sheri's quilt.
 Green and orange borders.
 Yellow polka dot backing.
 Kathy's T-shirt quilt.
 Scrappy backing.
I've also quilted two sampler quilts. Pat's yellow and blue sampler.

 White and blue borders.
 Blue backing.
 Glenda's sampler.
Close up of a few blocks.
Pink pieced border on the left.
 Crisp white backing.
Glenda's baby quilt with printed animals.
 Solid yellow backing.
I finished the quilting on my Hugs and Kisses quilt.
The center teal block is my favorite block.
Now with all the quilting and sewing I did, my quilting room became very messy. I'm going to spend the next few days cleaning my sewing table and organizing my stash.
Fabric sorted in groups, I like to organize my stash by color.
The first bin I tackled was the blue one - my favorite color.
This looks so much better. The smaller pieces on the carpet need to be cut into 5" and 2.5" strips. I like to have at least one cutting day per month.
Happy quilting,
Millie

T-shirt Quilts and Bags

I've been working on so many t-shirt quilts and tops for bags. This is the Sander's quilt I made. I've used the leftover t-shirt logos and put them in the border. This is around a queen sized quilt.
This is a king sized t-shirt quilt I made for Wendy. I did the same thing and used some of the smaller logos in the border.
Many of the t-shirts were hand decorated by her and her two boys like this Surf's Up t-shirt.
Here's another t-shirt quilt I quilted with painted white t-shirts. This quilt was a team effort made by many of  the teachers and personnel of a school for a retiring principal.
I quilted this quilt for Kayla.
The last few t-shirt quilts I quilted are from Marjie. This is her son's quilt.
These are t-shirts I quilted for Marjie who so cleverly made them into a duffel bag!
Here's some more tops she will transform into bags.
I really like the color scheme of this soon to be bag.
 Happy Quilting,
