Cut-Loose Quilts

I quilted this Cut-Loose Quilt for Julie with the panto called Bubbles. The bright blocks with the yellow sashings are so bright and it puts me in the mood for spring.

Pink and yellow striped border.

The pink polka dot backing goes fantastically with the Bubbles quilting.

I had so much fun quilting this quilt and had to buy Jan Mullen's book Cut-Loose Quilts for myself. I made a few blocks and just as I started to put the blocks on the grass, the wind took up and a few drops of rain came down. All the blocks blew across my yard!

I am so ready for spring. My husband and I added new red bark in the garden. The 3 trees in our front garden got new leaves and these beautiful white blooms.

Lovely pink blossoms in the neighbour's garden.

Kim always enjoys making quilts using her old clothing and making her own patterns as she goes. I quilted this quilt for her which she made from old shirts and pants.

Close up of some of her blocks and the Deb's Swirls panto I used for the quilting.

It is always nice to see a quilt bounded after I had quilted it. Kim stopped by and showed me this quilt I quilted for her a few months ago.

A quilt always looks nicely finished after it gets the binding on.

Before I end this post, I just have to put in a picture of Max! Here he is, just sitting with his squeaky toy, even lazier than normal because of the rain coming in. You can also see that I started taking out some spring decorations for my coffee table.

Happy Quilting!
