One of my friends told me about Rachel's Postage Stamp Quilt Along.
I jumped over to PSIQuilt to check it out.
I decided to use my pastel scraps for the Postage Stamp Quilt.
I know I said I have to finish a few UFO's before I start another project, but here I am using my stash. Good enough reason for me to start another fun scrappy quilt.
A strip sets.
B strip sets.
Yeah I am using my scraps!
I love my Shape Cut ruler. You are probably wondering what is up with the blue painter's tape. That is just to make it easier for me when I cut up my stash into strips.
I cut several 2.5" segments at once.
Can you see what I did wrong? I think it is a good idea to mark the other side of the Shape Cut ruler with 2.5" strips so that I will not make another mistake like this.
My first few blocks are done. I love how they turned out.
Happy Quilting until next time,
Oh super scrappy is going to be sweet.

ReplyDeleteOoooh, Millie, it looks so pretty! That is going to be a very nice quilt. And from stash just makes it that much better.
ReplyDeleteI love scrappy quilts, I think you are allowed to start as many projects as you like as long as you are using stash and not purchasing new fabric...that's what I'm telling myself! I think I will hop over and check it out and maybe join in, looks like fun I've always wanted to make a postage stamp quilt.

Good for you for stash busting.. I have one of those rulers also and forget about it. I should use it more often. Great idea to use the blue tape when you're cutting so many strips.
