Machine Quilting

I finished two of my own quilts. It was so cloudy when I took the pictures, I will wait for a nice, sunny day and retake the pictures.

I have been very busy quilting customer quilts. This Moda Charm Square quilt was pieced by Carol Ann from Calico Cats and will be displayed next week at the Houston Quilt Show/Festival. I used the pantogragh "Hearts a Flutter" for the quilting.

Cute pink backing with flowers.
Rhonda made this pink and green Basket quilt for her sister which I quilted with "Meandering Dasies".

Small Star cornerstones between the green sashings.
Green backing.
This is Glenda's very first quilt she pieced. She saw the pattern in a magazine and went for it.
Red border. I used the panto "Hyacinth" .
She did an awesome job for a self-taught quilter.
Blue backing.
Happy Quilting until next time!

  1. Wow, they're beautiful!!! I love the first quilt with oranges!

The other quilts are lovely too. Do you have your own quilting machine? I stopped in a longarm shop and realized that I can never afford to have anything quilted. =( It made me sad. I don't know if I could save for a year to do just one quilt...so I've got to figure out how to do it myself. =)

    Everything you've done is beautiful.

  3. The quilts and the quilting are beautiful.
You really want an overcast day or late afternoon, the sun will wash out the colors. The colors look beautiful on my puter.

  8. That square in a square design is so nice. I know what you mean to be able to get time to quilt your own in between customers is nice. How cool to have a client's quilt in the Houston show that you've quilted. I've never been to the show and would just LOVE to someday go. Have a great weekend!
