Airplane and Embroidery Quilts

Since it's the 4th of July, I thought it will be the perfect time to show Elaine's airplane quilt.

I used the Stars panto of Dave Hudson, which matched perfectly with the planes flying through the air.

Elaine made this embroidery quilt for her husband, who is a veteran. The quilt shows all the places he went to. To make sure the embroidery blocks stayed the focus of the quilt, I used a stipple quilting.

Happy 4th of July, Enjoy the fireworks for me!

The airplane quilt is really cute and colorful, and the stars quilted in it look great. The machine embroidered quilt is a wonderful idea. Yes, a wonderful tribute and a great memory quilt too.

The airplane quilt is a good one. I made one a couple years ago for a baby boy whose father is an airplane mechanic. It was done in baby style fabric.
